Location DescriptionWakefield is one of the largest production facilities within Michael Foods. We serve as a flex plant and are able to produce everything from a whole pasteurized egg to liquid, dried, hardboiled, and curds.
Responsibilities- Conduct all mechanical repairs on plant equipment, address minor electrical repairs, and complete preventive maintenance tasks.
- Read blueprints, wire schematics, and use hand and power tools.
- Operate in dynamic environments with power transmissions, machine foundations, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Engage in continuous improvement, teamwork, and failure analysis.
- Work second shift Monday–Friday 2 PM–10 PM.
- Participate with reliability and maintenance team members to ensure personal safety, quality, delivery, and cost continuously improved.
- Execute precision maintenance techniques, technical troubleshooting, training, and quality commissioning procedures.
- Use MFI approved CMMS for reliability reporting and decision making.
- Maintain accurate records, conduct root cause analysis, and participate in reliability-centered maintenance.
- Promote Michael Foods culture, values, principles, and safety compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Associate's degree or two-year technical certificate, or experience demonstrating technical aptitude.
- Preferred: 1 year experience as an industrial maintenance technician.
- Ability to read and decipher mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and P&.
- Prior experience in SAP preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
Employee must regularly talk, listen, stand, walk; occasionally lift or move up to 60 pounds. Requires specific vision abilities. Exposed to noisy environment varying from hot to cold. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
