Responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all processes related to the Filtration Plant and Copper Concentrate Area, using the DCS system and following established site procedures.

• Control and monitor the copper concentrate plant remotely using the DCS system, adjusting parameters and equipment as needed.
• Strictly follow HSE procedures and standards, maintaining high levels of order and cleanliness.
• Ensure copper concentrate meets moisture ranges and plant operates at maximum capacity.
• Coordinate with field operators to inspect key process points, identify problems and apply corrective actions.
• Ensure units operate according to technical and safety specifications, stopping and starting equipment as required.
• Identify process deviations, perform root cause analysis, and take corrective measures.
• Participate in the development of operational and emergency procedures.
• Maintain detailed records of plant operations in the logbook (downtime, moisture, production, etc.).
• Take necessary measures to ensure the safety of facilities, personnel, equipment, and environment in the event of incidents.
• Report in real time to the operations and maintenance supervisor any event affecting the production schedule.
• Verify that communication systems (radio, telephone, etc.) are functioning.
• Perform logistical and support tasks in the field, such as transporting materials, equipment, and personnel as required by the supervisor.
• Undertake other related duties assigned.

• University-level technical or engineering education.

• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in process plants, including 3 years as a DCS Operator.

• Proficiency in distributed control systems (DCS) and computerized operation systems.
• Basic knowledge of work planning, inventory, and production control.
• Ability to read and interpret technical literature and plans in Spanish and English.
• Understanding of operational descriptions and industrial process philosophy.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and multicultural environments.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Disciplined and self-controlled under high-pressure conditions.
• Advanced level of English required; high proficiency in Spanish valued; willingness to undergo language training if necessary.
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in Panama.
