Salary Range: $32.00 – $48.00 per hour
Travel & Compensation- Travel required to support locations within a 150‑mile radius of permanent address.
- Mileage reimbursement provided for required travel.
- Premium Pay Rates: $5.00 per hour on all hours worked; $1.25 per hour weekend shift differential; $1.25 per hour evening/night shift differential (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM).
Minimum of 30 hours per month, including one weekend shift per month.
Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process – assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation – to provide individualized nursing care to residents. The RN collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. The RN demonstrates competency, practices within the full scope of nursing expertise, and utilizes appropriate age and population‑specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting.
The RN cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment, and is responsible for coordination of care, resident assessment, resident education, and various nursing interventions. The RN may serve as charge nurse and delegate appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within job descriptions and competence levels. The RN provides assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolves care and service concerns.
All activities function within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act, Administrative Rules in the state of practice, and licensure. The Professional Nursing Practice recognizes the scope and standards of practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements published by the American Nurses Association as the foundation of nursing care delivery and professional conduct.
- Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred (e.g., CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs and/or possesses multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred).
