Job Summary

We are hiring a full-time Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide high-quality perioperative care. This role involves pre-op admission, intraoperative assistance, and post-op recovery care for surgical patients. Join a collaborative team committed to patient safety and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver perioperative nursing care using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Perform comprehensive admission assessments and medication reconciliation.
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during procedures.
• Provide pre-op and recovery care for assigned patients.
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with HIPAA standards.
• Support sterile processing and instrument decontamination.
• Respond to emergencies and implement safe patient care practices.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Education: ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year in a surgical/OR setting preferred; EHR experience a plus.
• Licensure/Certification s:
  • Active RN license in Nebraska
  • BLS required
  • ACLS & PALS within 1 year of hire
  • AORN Perioperative 101 within 2 years of hire
  • TNCC & NRP required only if working in ED

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with lifting up to 35 lbs frequently and up to 300 lbs occasionally.

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $29.81 – $49.69
