Shift: Days – 5x8-hour shifts
Pay: $2,500/week (equivalent to $105/hour)
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Call: 1 weeknight per week + every 3rd weekend
We are currently seeking an experienced Travel Operating Room RN for a 13-week contract at a critical access hospital in Nebraska. The ideal candidate will be a skilled and flexible RN comfortable working across various surgical specialties and supporting pre-op/PACU as needed. You’ll be part of a collaborative, cross-functional surgical team providing patient-centered care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Circulate and assist in OR procedures including OB (C-Sections), Orthopedics (HANA bed experience preferred), and GI procedures (Colonoscopy/EGD)
- Provide patient care throughout the perioperative process, including Pre-op and PACU (if experienced or willing to learn)
- Participate in on-call rotation (1 weeknight/week and every 3rd weekend)
- Ensure compliance with facility protocols and safety standards
- Accurately document using Cerner (preferred)
- Valid NE RN License or Compact RN License
- Minimum 1 prior travel RN assignment (no first-time travelers)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- C-Section assistance experience
- Strong experience in:
- OB
- Colonoscopy/EGD procedures
- Orthopedic surgeries
- Willingness to:
- Work some holidays, if needed
- Take weekday and weekend call as scheduled
- Cross-train or assist in Pre-op/PACU if limited experience
- Prior Pre-op and/or PACU experience
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR
- Ortho experience using HANA bed
- Experience in critical access hospital settings
