American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg with ER role at a critical access hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and multiple specialty certifications.

• Critical access hospital setting covering Med/Surg, ER, LDR, and Nursery units
• Responsible for total patient care when assigned to ER, Med/Surg, LDR, or Nursery
• Night shift schedule, 5p-5a, 3 days/week (36 hrs)
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Documents medications using barcode scanning in the electronic health system

• Active NE or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, and STABLE
• Strong communication skills required

• Provides direct patient care including administering treatments, medications, and assisting with examinations
• Cares for obstetrical patients through labor, delivery, and post-partum stages after demonstrated competence
• Provides newborn care after demonstrated competence
• Performs ER procedures and therapeutic treatments following demonstration of competence
• Assists in training and orientation of new employees
• Participates in quality assurance initiatives, in-service programs, and educational workshops
• Works in an indoor, smoke-free patient care environment with frequent exposure to biohazardous materials and communicable diseases
• Housing is limited; candidates are encouraged to research local motel/hotel options
• On-call rooms are limited and available upon request
