Sandhills Equine is seeking a
* Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)
* to join our growing equine practice in rural Nebraska. This position is ideal for a technician who wants to be hands-on, trusted, and fully utilized as a medical professional.
We are a full-service equine veterinary practice offering mobile services and a haul-in facility, serving ranch, performance, and pleasure horses across the Sandhills. Our clinic values integrity, teamwork, and doing right by our clients and their horses.

* This is not a role where you are limited to basic tasks. At Sandhills Equine, LVTs are an essential part of patient care and are encouraged to practice at the
* top of their license*.
* Hands-on involvement in cases from start to finish
* Work side-by-side with veterinarian in the field and clinic
* Trusted with responsibility and not micromanaged
* Build real relationships with clients and follow cases through
* Opportunities to grow skills in lameness, reproduction, emergency care, and surgery support

* Job Responsibilities
* * IV catheter placement and maintenance
* Administering medications and treatments (IV, IM, SQ, oral) under veterinary direction
* Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
* Assisting with surgical and standing procedures (including castrations and wound care)
* Collecting and processing diagnostic samples
* Operating digital radiography and ultrasound equipment
* Assisting with lameness evaluations and imaging
* Supporting reproductive services (breeding exams, semen handling, AI, embryo transfer)
* Emergency and critical care support (colic, laminitis, neonatal cases)
* Client education and communication
* Medical records, inventory, and controlled drug compliance
* Helping maintain clinic, vehicles, and equipment
* Mentoring assistants or students when applicable
* Qualifications
* * Licensed Veterinary Technician (or license-eligible in Nebraska)
* Strong work ethic and willingness to help where needed
* Comfortable working with horses in clinic and field settings
* Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset
Equine experience preferred, but motivated LVTs transitioning from other areas of veterinary medicine are encouraged to apply.
