Job Summary
Quarry Oaks Golf Club is looking for a Golf Shop Merchandiser to join the team! This position is responsible for the retail and merchandising operations of the Quarry Oaks golf shop. This includes the selection, buying, receiving, displaying, selling, accounting, and reporting of golf equipment, apparel, accessories and other items while providing guests with excellent shopping services, attention to detail, and timely follow-through.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Abides by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.
  • Purchases premium inventory for the golf shop and selects appropriate logo applications.
  • Uses creativity to ensure golf shop displays are vibrant and presentations are appropriate for all seasons, presents merchandise in attractive displays, and rotates displays to keep a fresh look to the shop.
  • Processes and manages inventory and establishes pricing and invoice coding.
  • Conducts and reconciles a monthly physical inventory to POS inventory levels and reports discrepancies.
  • Ensures follow-up on past due orders and canceled orders are communicated timely, handles all defective or obsolete inventory returns to vendors.
  • Tracks day to day sales in the Golf Shop and subsequent inventory replenishment.
  • Ensures items are kept neat and organized for ease of locating and inventory.
  • Assists with Golf operations and functions related to POS, tee times, and golf events.
  • Interacts with Quarry Oaks Golf department as well as Food & Beverage Team to develop and execute any special merchandise requests for Tournaments or other events wishing to purchase items in advance for participants or guests.
  • Performs order management of Quarry Oaks Staff employee uniforms.
  • Creates a comfortable inviting environment within the golf shop for shoppers and employees.
  • Establishes strong relationships with vendor partners.
  • Focused involvement in any corporate merchandising opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Education and/or Experience:

    • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent; and
    • 2 years of experience with Retail Merchandising and/or Sales preferably in a golf club; or
    • an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

    • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.

    Other Qualifications:

    • Able to work flexible hours, all shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
    • Must have good skills in operating a personal computer and various software packages, including Microsoft Applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
