Assistant Store Manager

Supports the Store Director in managing all store operations, ensuring departments are fully staffed, trained, and efficient. Oversees store profitability by monitoring financial aspects such as purchasing, stocking, sales, payroll, and expenses. Maintains the physical store including equipment, safety, and appearance while executing corporate plans and completing assigned duties promptly.

• Conducts regular inspections and provides feedback to departments.
• Reviews reports, takes corrective actions, and communicates needed information.
• Participates in financial planning, budgeting, staffing, and facility maintenance.
• Collaborates with corporate personnel and trains team members.
• Manages staff scheduling, supervision, and delegation.
• Provides courteous customer service and maintains a clean, attractive environment.
• Knowledgeable about products and their differences in price, taste, and use.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of retail grocery experience with increasing responsibility.
• One year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Proficient in computer use (email, spreadsheets) and financial analysis.
• Strong communication, delegation, and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with accounting and bookkeeping abilities.
