- Commercial & Industrial Division, is seeking a full-time Substation Foreman in the Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri and South Dakota areas. $5000 hire bonus applies and per diem as eligible.

Job Summary

• Ensure assigned project is executed in strict adherence to the IES Safety policies and procedures.
• Manage, direct and teach assigned field personnel on assigned projects.
• Execute project work in accordance with the project schedule.
• Develop and follow the Plan of the Day (POD).
• Manage project materials management on assigned projects, both owner and IES.
• Manage equipment on assigned project to control cost and effectively utilize owned and rented equipment.
• Maintain company tooling in proper working order and provide accurate accountability for all tools.
• Adhere to contract, plans and specifications.
• Manages requests for information (RFIs) during project execution.
• Meet with and interact with customers throughout each project's life-cycle in order to maintain positive client relationship.

Qualifications

• Five years of Line and/or Substation experience
• General knowledge of electrical construction preferred
• General knowledge of environmental, safety, health and security regulations.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with a diverse group while nurturing a team atmosphere.
• General knowledge of project scheduling is required.
• Strong Leadership, problem-solving, analytical, troubleshooting and organizational skills
• Be capable of leading small and large teams
• Proficient computer skills with experience with MS Office software to include Word and Excel
• Must be able and willing to travel
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug test, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check when applicable per customer contract requirement.
