Location: Kimball

Clean Harbors Kimball, NE is looking for a Mobile Vehicle Mechanic to join their safety conscious team! The position will be responsible for routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs of all company fleet at branch locations throughout the area.

Base pay range

$14.00/hr – $39.00/hr

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
  • Correct all equipment deficiencies and perform preventive maintenance on company‑owned equipment as directed.
  • Perform thorough inspections of equipment and identify unsatisfactory conditions.
  • Comply with mandatory PPE requirements during all work activities.
  • Travel to other locations to perform repairs and maintenance as required.
  • Complete and submit all associated paperwork for PM tracking schedules.
  • Maintain active light duty or DQ driver status as required for mobile vehicle types.
  • Perform other duties and tasks assigned by management from time to time.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • 1+ year experience working on heavy‑duty trucks and equipment.
  • 1+ year DOT inspection experience required.
  • Ability to provide own basic tools.
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory up to 70%.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
  • Ability to determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections, scheduled PMs, and diagnostic tests; identify worn or damaged parts for replacement.
  • Ability to pass a background, drug, and physical test upon hire.
