Full‑time (40hrs/wk) - Schedule:
On‑call, overtime, nights, alternating shifts, weekends, holidays - Travel:
Required to and remain at job sites for extended periods - Training:
Company‑paid on‑the‑job and classroom training, travel to BNSF Training Center
- Track maintenance repair and installation; repair and rebuild railroad track, perform maintenance by pulling spikes, cutting, welding, or drilling rail.
- Maintain trackbed: manually compress ballast, remove/install ties, adjust rail, lift and carry materials.
- Operate equipment: power hand tools (drills, impact wrenches, jacks, saws, grinders); non‑powered hand tools.
- Daily work conducted in a safety‑sensitive environment with diverse and extreme weather conditions and other hazards.
- Adhere to safety regulations, rules, and policies, wearing required personal protective equipment and taking action in emergencies.
- Able to work now and in the future without BNSF’s assistance in obtaining, maintaining, or extending employment authorization.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
