Maintenance Tech III, FT 8-4:30p Mon-Friday (call/evening/weekend/holiday rotation) (Maintenance)
SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, grounds, pipe, and utility systems in the facility. Compliance with rules and regulations of all applicable federal, state and local laws as well as PMHC policies is a condition of employment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Visually inspects and tests air handling machinery and equipment.
- Reviews work orders to determine work priorities.
- Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
- Purchases parts or supplies for maintenance of equipment upon approval of supervisor.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure and equipment of establishment.
- Performs tasks using appropriate safety devices provided by the facility.
- Assists in maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.
- Assists in planning, developing, and implementing new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.
- Assists in snow removal and maintenance of grounds.
- Coordinate bio-medical equipment program with responsible vendor.
- Responsible for rotation of department call duties. Must be able to respond to the call duties with 30 minutes.

While performing the duties of this job, employees frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places;
in outside weather conditions; and with explosives and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme heat. The level of risk of exposure to blood borne pathogens is Classification II, as outlined in the Hepatitis B Vaccine Program Policy. The noise level in the work environment is usually high.
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.). 5 Years of experience in a maintenance environment.
COMPETENCIES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
