Logistics Manager

Carroll Construction Supply is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our multi-location supply chain operations across the Midwest. The role involves ensuring the timely delivery of construction materials while maintaining cost-effectiveness and operational excellence across our 36-location network.

The Logistics Manager will develop and implement logistics strategies tailored to our construction supply business, managing the efficient movement of materials across the Midwest footprint. Responsibilities include overseeing LTL carrier relationships and flatbed transportation operations, optimizing freight lanes, coordinating distribution activities across all 36 locations, managing inventory flow, negotiating carrier contracts and rates, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards, analyzing transportation costs and performance metrics, implementing routing optimization strategies, leading initiatives to improve delivery times and reduce freight expenses, managing relationships with carriers and third‑party logistics providers, coordinating the logistics of oversized and heavy construction materials, and supervising logistics staff and dispatchers.

This position could be remote or at a local branch.

• Deep expertise in construction materials logistics, including LTL shipping, flatbed transportation, and regional freight lane management.
• Strong analytical and optimization skills.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining carrier relationships and negotiating contracts.
• Understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to manage inventory and distribution across multiple locations.
• Leadership experience supervising dispatchers and logistics staff.
