This is a temporary winter position available until March 31, 2026. Pay starts at $19.94 per hour for non‑CDL holders and $21.47 per hour for those with a valid CDL. Hours may vary depending on weather conditions.

We are hiring temporary maintenance workers for winter operations across the Lincoln region. The role involves:

• Assisting with winter operations
• Performing snow removal
• Operating heavy equipment for road maintenance
• Tree trimming
• Responding to highway emergencies
• Safely moving, dragging, lifting, loading, and unloading a variety of equipment, materials, supplies, and hazardous objects within weight restrictions
• Spreading and tamping surfacing materials
• Performing other duties as assigned

• Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Preferred:
  Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with air brakes and tanker endorsements, and experience operating heavy equipment.
• Other:
  May require out‑of‑town overnight travel. Regular and reliable attendance required. Must be reachable outside scheduled hours for highway emergencies within 40 minutes.

Must be able to safely move, drag, lift 35 pounds frequently and 60 pounds occasionally (without assistance). May need to lift 90 pounds or more infrequently (with assistance). Ability to climb, bend or stoop; work outdoors in extreme temperatures; work around high‑speed traffic.
