Winter temporary maintenance workers are needed for the period through March 31, 2026. Hours may vary depending on weather conditions and could be more or less than 40 hours per week.

Job Duties- Perform snow removal.
- Operate heavy equipment for road maintenance.
- Trim trees.
- Respond to highway emergencies.
- Safely move, drag, lift, load, and unload equipment, materials, supplies, and hazardous items on the roadway within weight restrictions.
- Spread and tamp surfacing materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license.
- For Senior role:
Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with air brakes and tanker endorsements required within 60 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License.
- Experience operating heavy equipment.
Other
- Out-of-town or overnight travel may be required.
- Regular and reliable attendance is required.
- Must be reachable to report to work outside scheduled hours for highway emergencies within a specified time frame.
Must be able to safely move, drag, and lift 35 pounds frequently, up to 60 pounds occasionally, and 90 or more pounds infrequently with assistance; climb, bend or stoop; work outdoors in temperature extremes; work around high‑speed traffic.
