Temporary General Laborer – Industrial Equipment Yard

Location: Nederland, TX
Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hr DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–4:30 PM
Assignment Duration: Approximately 2–4 weeks
Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, hardworking General Laborer for a short-term assignment at an industrial equipment yard in Nederland, TX.

This position will assist service technicians with cleaning, maintaining, and preparing industrial equipment for rental and customer use. The ideal candidate has previous general labor, industrial yard, mechanical helper, or equipment maintenance experience and is comfortable performing physically demanding work.

Welding experience is a plus but is not required.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist service technicians with general equipment maintenance and repair tasks.
• Clean and pressure wash industrial equipment, tanks, and rental units.
• Help prepare equipment for rental, including cleaning, inspecting, and organizing units.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving equipment and materials.
• Use basic hand and power tools to assist with minor repairs and equipment preparation.
• Assist with inspecting pumps, hoses, and other equipment components.
• Help with equipment setup, disassembly, and general yard operations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Assist with basic inventory, labeling, and organizing materials.
• Perform other general labor duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous general labor, industrial yard, warehouse, construction, or mechanical helper experience preferred.
• Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
• Welding experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, standing, and working outdoors.
• Willingness to assist technicians with a variety of tasks.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
• Must be available to work the full temporary assignment.
