What are you going to do?  As CTO at S&dB, you spearhead the technological advancement of revolutionary seed-embedding technology and machinery for regenerative agriculture. You balance strategic vision with hands-on leadership, guiding the R&D team through development, industrialization, and scaling of the vSET planting machine, production line, and seed-tape technology.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Lead design, development and industrialization of vSET planting machine, production line, and seed-tape technology
Structure innovation processes with clear milestones, deliverables and deadlines
Oversee validation trials with growers and integrate customer feedback into product iterations
Develop data strategy with R&D colleagues to substantiate value proposition
Build, manage and train a multidisciplinary team across mechanical engineering, agronomy, data and automation
Develop IP strategy and protect core technologies
Collaborate with CEO and management team to translate technical developments into commercial opportunities
Contribute to investor discussions by providing technical insights and progress reports

Job requirements:

Master's degree in a technical field (agricultural engineering, mechanical engineering or similar)
Minimum 8 years relevant experience with significant time in agricultural sector or agritech
Proven track record scaling technical products from prototype to commercial application
Experience leading multidisciplinary R&D teams and managing external partners
Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
Proficiency in MS Office and technical tools (CAD, data analysis software)
