We are seeking a visionary Creative Director to lead the creative development for Shark Beauty (Haircare & Skincare), crafting compelling product stories across packaging, digital platforms, social media, and more.

Role Overview

As the Creative Director, Copy for Shark Beauty, you will shape and execute the creative vision for the brand across both the Haircare and Skincare categories. You will lead the development of product propositions, oversee packaging design, drive digital and social upper‑funnel campaigns, and craft product narratives that captivate our audience. The role requires a strong strategic mindset, hands‑on creative leadership, and a deep understanding of storytelling across all consumer touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Vision:
    Collaborate with the Art Creative director to develop and implement Shark Beauty’s Brand tone of voice, beauty POV, and overall language.
  • Develop and maintain a cohesive creative strategy that aligns with Shark Beauty’s brand and product values and business goals.
  • Develop big ideas for product launches.
  • Translate product features and benefits into compelling propositions that differentiate Shark Beauty in the market.
  • Creative Leadership:
    Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary creative team, including designers, copywriters, and external partners.
  • Partner closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure products tell a unique story full funnel.
  • Ensure all creative work defines Shark Beauty as a leading brand within the beauty category and maintains a clear and consistent tone and look across channels.
  • Be a “Ninja” during the creative process and not afraid to take risks.
  • Be a champion of AI tools and inspire the team to lean into the new and available tools.
  • Product Storytelling:
    Craft compelling narratives that showcase the innovation and benefits of Shark Beauty products.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Development, Engineering, CI and Marketing teams to ensure product stories are communicated effectively across all consumer touchpoints.
  • Must have the ability to iterate and pivot throughout the creative process to ensure final work delivers a HROS.
  • Packaging Design:
    Oversee the design and development of innovative, functional, and visually appealing packaging that aligns with the product story and brand aesthetics.
  • Digital & Social Campaigns:
    Drive the creation of upper‑funnel digital and social content product stories, including paid media, organic campaigns, and influencer collaborations.
  • Leverage consumer insights to create engaging and shareable content that builds product awareness.
  • Collaboration:

    Partner with cross‑functional teams, including CI, Marketing, Product Development, Engineering and Sales, to ensure creative initiatives support overall business objectives.
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and other creative vendors.
  • Work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment where creativity and impact are valued.
  • Opportunity to lead the creative direction for a growing brand with a global presence.
  • If you are in NYC you must travel to HQ in Massachusetts weekly.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 10+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within beauty, consumer products, or lifestyle brands.
  • Proven expertise in product storytelling, packaging design, and digital/social campaigns.
