Join us at First Light Home Care of West Suburban Boston as a Per Diem Caregiver. This role offers excellent flexibility and is perfect for caregivers who are passionate about helping others while balancing their own schedules.

Base pay
: $20.00 per hour (actual pay based on skills and experience). Per Diem shifts include days, evenings, weekends, and overnights. Opportunities for additional hours based on client needs and availability.

Position Summary

• Provide non‑medical, in‑home support and companionship to elderly clients.
• Assist with personal care tasks: bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
• Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and general household organization.
• Provide medication reminders following the care plan.
• Accompany clients to appointments or errands (as needed).
• Observe and promptly report any changes in condition to the Care Coordinator.
• Document care provided clearly and accurately.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 6 months of caregiving experience (professional or family care accepted).
• A compassionate, dependable, and patient personality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow individualized care plans.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• CNA/HHA certification a plus, but not required.

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour.

Schedule:

Per diem with flexible shifts—days, evenings, weekends, and overnights.
