OVERVIEW

As a Vice President of Program Management for Shark Product Development, serve as the program leader to our teams in Needham, US, London, UK, and China.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • You will provide program leadership for system integration on new product initiatives.
  • The Vice President of Program Management will make sure that work is understood, planned, delivered on time, and delivered with quality.
  • The role requires strength in three fundamental aspects of product development: understanding product strategy, driving program logistics and schedule, and leading a large cross‑functional team of high‑performing engineers to deliver the software and firmware required at all stages of new product development.
  • Establish program milestones, drive alignment towards a common vision, and execute on strategic goals.
  • Understand technical requirements, dependencies, and team capabilities, define risk mitigation strategies, identify and communicate risks to all stakeholders, and balance tradeoffs between time, resources, and quality.
  • Facilitate teams operating at their most effective by translating concepts into program plans, clarifying priorities, coordinating engineering deliverables, and finding software engineering solutions to unanticipated issues.
  • Know how and when to ship quality products and services.
  • Work with product and engineering teams to keep programs moving forward using both qualitative and quantitative metrics to advance programs through the shipping cycle.
  • Drive program consensus, influence, and rally teams to meet goals.
  • Demonstrate a relentless sense of ownership for the success of a program.
  • Act as the liaison between the cross‑functional teams working on new programs.
REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical, engineering or related business/management field highly desired.
  • 10-15+ years direct Program Management leadership experience in a consumer goods company focusing on home appliances and related categories.
  • Driving all areas of new product development within program ownership.
  • Assertive, confident, capable.
  • Accountable to deliver all elements of the program, from product ideation to end‑of‑life.
  • Able to cultivate and lead a high performing team that delivers results.
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills. Experienced addressing C‑Suite, Peer Functional Groups, Suppliers, and Customer audiences.
  • Cross‑functional leadership skills.
  • Possess a strong bias to action and accountability.
  • Intermediate/working level skills with MS Project (or similar), Excel, PPT and Visio.
  • High energy, with a positive attitude.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Presentation skills – Must be proficient with PowerPoint and be comfortable developing and presenting to large groups including executive management either in person or over MS Teams.
Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $198,800—$304,800 USD. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
