The Registered Nurse will provide direct nursing care in accordance with standard nursing practice and with North Hill's standard of care. Job Specific Requirements
Registered Nurse
- Registered Nurse complies with all computer policies, system user protocols, uses Outlook for scheduling, and stores North Hill documents on network drive.
- Understands the importance of person centered care and demonstrates the use, as well as encourages team members to utilize person centered approach to care and language.
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with basic nursing practice and in accordance with North Hill standards of care.
- Completes admission (move in), transfer and discharge (move out) requirements as necessary.
- Complete all pertinent documentation and/or paperwork according to nursing standards of practice and North Hill policy and procedure.
- Administers medications per Health Center policy and procedures.
- Responsible for documentation of psychotropic drug use according to policy and procedure.
- Responsible for Medicare documentation according to the Medicare Guidelines.
- Monitor and oversee the care provided by the Certified Nursing Assistants and guide them to ensure resident care meets North Hill standards.
- Ensure that all team members involved in providing care are demonstrating care according to the resident care plan.
- Complete admission, quarterly and annual assessments as assigned with in required parameters.
- Prefer as a minimum, 1 year of experience as a nurse in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other related health care facility.
- Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices, preferred.
- New Grads are encouraged to apply.
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Massachusetts.
