Position Summary: Walker Therapeutic & Educational Programs seeks a Registered Nurse for their Needham Campus. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, the RN will provide routine and emergency medical services in residential, group, and school programs.

QualificationsSuccessful candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and have an interest in working with school‑aged children. The position requires alternating weekend coverage and some holiday shifts. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
Essential Functions- Provide routine medical care to students
- Apply Walker’s model of childcare, including therapeutic crisis intervention methods and physical restraint.
- Transport clients to and from medical appointments as needed.
- Provide emergency care to students when necessary
- Administer medications to students at various times throughout the shift
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Consult with staff and attend required meetings
- Ensure first aid supplies are available in all necessary locations
- Track and schedule medical, dental, and lab appointments
- Provide on‑call coverage as needed
- Provide in‑service training to staff
- Communicate with parents/guardians/collaterals as needed
- Other duties as assigned
