This role is hybrid, requiring three days per week onsite at our Needham, MA headquarters.

We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to join our mobile engineering team. You’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our Android applications. As a senior team member, you will contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior developers, and ensure our apps deliver outstanding performance and usability.

• Design, build, and maintain advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin (and Java as needed)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define, design, and ship new features
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and Android development guidelines
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance and mentorship to other team members
• Keep up to date with the latest mobile technology trends, techniques, and best practices
• Contribute to improving engineering processes, tools, and workflows

• 5+ years of programming experience in Android development (preferably Kotlin)
• Deep understanding of Android SDK, Android UI design principles, and best practices
• Familiarity with integrating and consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience with modern tools, frameworks and associated patterns like Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/RxJava, OkHttp, Android build variants.
• Strong knowledge of mobile performance optimization and security best practices
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to communicate and discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

The estimated base salary range for this position is $150,000– $185,000 + bonus & equity.
