My client, a long-established and highly regarded organization within the dairy processing industry, has built its reputation on quality, reliability, and strong customer partnerships. They are now adding a Senior Manager, Engineering—an opportunity for a proven leader to shape engineering strategy, elevate team performance, and champion innovation across the operation. SHORTROLE SUMMARY
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team while fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
- Oversee and prioritize engineering projects that enhance operations, reduce costs, and strengthen quality.
- Approve engineering designs and process changes while tracking progress on key improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Operations and cross-functional teams to resolve issues, minimize downtime, and improve workflows.
- Support budgeting, capital planning, and resource allocation through data-driven decisions. Ensure compliance with food safety, employee safety, and environmental regulations, while evaluating new technologies for efficiency gains.
- Strategic planning - Participate in budgeting and capital planning, including project justification and resource allocation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or Process).
- 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering (including leadership roles).
- Experience in food and beverage manufacturing preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with process control systems and complex manufacturing equipment.
- Working knowledge of statistical tools, metrics, and dashboards.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong technical background with the ability to guide and challenge engineering decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments and leadership levels.
- Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and managing capital projects.
