This role will serve as a Senior Process Engineer, leading the development and commercialization of innovation programs for the Cottonelle dry bath tissue business across both tissue machines and converting assets with a focus on innovation to launch new products, develop new process capability, and commercialize new manufacturing operations at pilot and commercial scale. Qualified candidates will collaborate broadly inside the corporation with R&E, pilot plant, mill and multifunctional team members and external partners.

This role will also have an emphasis on coaching and mentoring other less experienced engineers and fostering their professional development. This position reports to the R&D Senior Manager within Family Care Research and Development.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead programs focused on the development and commercialization of tissue innovation, including product and process optimization for quality and efficiency.
  • Guide the professional development of less experienced team members to increase technical understanding and ability to execute programs.
  • Develop and manage the budget and resource forecast relating to areas of ownership.
  • Build and maintain technical and scientific expertise in the area of tissue technology and communicate impact of developments on Kimberly-Clark.
  • Effectively flow to work as priorities dictate within the team/sector and be self-motivated to seek out business opportunities that may have yet to be uncovered.
  • Drive a culture of protected and documented innovation to protect and defend K-C proprietary technology, products, and business processes through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets.
  • Manage self in accordance with expected One KC Behaviors
Influence:
  • Works closely with Project Leaders, Marketing, Supply Chain, and I&A teams, among others, to define and validate the product design that achieves project goals.
  • Coach and mentor junior scientists
  • Able to influence without authority required.
