The annual compensation range for this position is stated below.
Salary Range: $75,400.00 - $
In this role, you will be responsible for failure analysis of products and components and providing technical direction to support troubleshooting within our manufacturing processes and suppliers.
Failure Analysis Engineers are a key resource for the manufacturing team, supporting validation of new processes or material and the identification of issues and corrective actions.
Key Job Accountabilities- Support manufacturing by troubleshooting product failures in both manufacturing and customer sites.
- Physical analysis of defective electronic, electrical and mechanical components.
- Support introduction of new product, process or material by analysis of assemblies.
- Monitor manufacturing processes using analysis test vehicles.
- Operate a variety of lab equipment to complete analysis.
- Generate reports to summarize findings using Google Workspace platform.
- Assist in assessment and management of 3rd party services.
- Research material properties and specifications and application.
- Establish and document standard assessment practices.
- Evaluate and purchase equipment to upgrade or meet new requirements.
- Manage lab equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Manage control consumable materials.
- Bachelor's Degree with 3 to 5 years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics troubleshooting failure analysis, rework or repair is preferred. Experience with in a regulated industry is a plus.
- Hands‑on experience in failure analysis of PCBAs, boards, or systems.
- Experience collaborating with cross‑functional engineering and manufacturing teams to drive corrective actions.
- Intermediate Verbal and Written Communications Skills.
- Strong Analytical and statistical analysis Skills;
Statistical Process Control Software Skills. - Lab tool / test / measurement equipment experience preferred.
