Manufacturing Engineer

United Plastic Fabricating is the industry leader in the manufacture of plastic water tanks for the fire industry. In addition, we design and manufacture a variety of products for the industrial and transportation markets.

Develop and improve manufacturing processes by evaluating product and manufacturing methods.

• Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements and equipment layout. Develop fixtures, and automate, semi-automate processes. Continuously evaluate workplace for safety concerns.
• Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying and testing manufacturing methods, equipment and material handling conveyance.
• Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, process capabilities, establishing standards and confirming manufacturing processes.
• Responsible for investigating and problem-solving plant equipment and facility issues.
• Perform data gathering and historical trending for continuous improvement.

• Qualified candidates will possess a B.S. Engineering degree (mechanical, industrial) and 3 to 5 years related experience
• Practical understanding of electronic, relay logics, PLC’s and three-phase electricity
• Knowledge of Cobot programming and assembly helpful
• Strong LEAN experience.
• Working knowledge of CAD software.
• Must be a hands-on with strong communication and computer skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
