Position Overview
Distribution Team Lead – Own critical tasks in daily distribution execution and training. You will manage workflows, direct labor, move resources, administer work in our systems, and oversee daily operations. As a trainer, you will develop and deliver training for new and experienced team members, including new hire training, efficiency coaching, and certification programs.
Work location:
Neenah facility. Shift: 7:00 am to 4:00 pm with flexibility to start earlier or stay later as needed. Overtime and weekends as required.
- Execute staffing plans/adjustments to meet operational goals, escalating concerns to leadership when necessary.
- Plan, allocate, and coordinate all activities in the consolidation zone.
- Monitor order changes and execute necessary SAP/eWM adjustments, assigning work for completion.
- Coordinate with Customer Service and Transportation to fulfill urgent delivery and call requests.
- Coordinate all BTS Display Orders – SSCC labeling, staging, and shipping plans.
- Print end‑of‑day packing slips and reconcile to validate order fulfillment.
- Maintain an organized work area and ensure documents are easily retrieved.
- Maintain timely, accurate information for stakeholders, updating MS Excel worksheets to ensure data integrity.
- Develop, refine, deliver, and manage new hire classroom and hands‑on training for the Warehouse, including 90‑day progress checks and certification.
- Develop and manage recertification training for experienced team members.
- Develop and manage cross‑training for Warehouse roles.
- Maintain Skills Matrix to record capabilities and versatility.
- Identify and drive best practices to increase training effectiveness.
- Partner with Supervisors to identify process opportunities and increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Partner with Supervisors to roll out and train new processes.
- Recertify experienced team members on systems, equipment, functions, safety, and procedures.
- Participate in development and revision of SOPs and job instructions for consistency, efficiency, and safety.
- Ensure all training documents adhere to company SOPs and policies.
- Contribute to outbound activities as needed, including picking, replenishment, and loading.
- 2+ years of distribution administration experience (Receiving, Picking, Packing, Shipping) is desirable.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Experience leading training, facilitating meetings, managing operations, and resolving exceptions.
- Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels.
- Proven record of working independently with little oversight, high initiative and urgency.
- Proactive problem solver, solutions oriented.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization.
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Thorough understanding of inbound and outbound operational priorities, dependencies, and processes.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with a tier‑1 ERP system (SAP preferred).
- Variable working conditions may include temperature variations, dust, noise, and exposure to moving mechanical parts.
