Role Mission

The mission of a Kurz Panel Shop Technician is to accurately produce and construct industrial control panels in accordance with provided electrical schematics and electrical codes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Panel building and wiring.
  • Pick equipment orders from inventory.
  • Pack equipment orders for shipping.
  • Process, ship, and sometimes deliver equipment orders to customers.
  • Receive and stock parts.
  • Modify existing and new AutoCAD drawings from scratch.
  • Track parts and orders from Work Orders in Net Suite.
  • Research technical information about equipment for design efforts.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Technical Certification or Associate Degree in Electrical or related field is preferred.
  • Understanding of electrical theory and strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools.
  • Familiarity with industrial control components (circuit breakers, motor starters, AC/DC drives, PLCs, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Knowledge of Oracle Net Suite, AutoCAD, and PLC/HMI/Drive programming is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self‑starter.
  • Willingness to wear required PPE.
