Position Summary
The purpose of this 3rd shift Press Operator position is to set‑up and operate any printing equipment (offset, digital; sheet or web) in accordance with manufacturing standards and product specifications. Associate must be able to transition between work centers, going wherever the business need is. In this role you will be required to operate one or more major and basic printing machines.
The work hours for this on‑site 3rd shift role includes: 10:30 pm to 6:30 am (Monday–Friday). The clean, safety‑sensitive environment ensures you can focus on doing your best work while making an impact. - Sets up and operates press according to production specifications and manufacturing standards.
- Responsible for quality and quantity of finished product and follows all job checking procedures.
- Properly records time and materials on each individual job, as well as recording daily information utilizing automated data collection system.
- Handles routine daily and monthly maintenance.
- Works closely with manufacturing maintenance staff on the preventive maintenance program.
- Works overtime as needed to meet production requirements.
- Able to work any of the three shifts as needed for production or training.
Experience:
- Demonstrated ability to operate major printing equipment.
- In lieu of printing experience, may consider training someone who has a strong mechanical aptitude, work ethic, and manufacturing experience.
Education:
- High school graduate or General Education Degree (GED).

Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity to perform adjustments and maintenance.
- Able to follow written instructions.
- Detail oriented with focus on quality.
- Problem solving skills.
- Proficient in the use of a PC.
- Able to detect subtle differences between colors, and achieve a match.
Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to noise hazards, high speed mechanical moving parts, chemical hazards, and hazards common to press operation and the printing industry. Work may involve repetitive operation of industrial equipment for extended periods and may require lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing/pulling heavy materials, and frequent bending, grasping, and reaching. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may include hearing protection, eye protection, hand protection, and safety‑toe footwear.
