The Quality Director combines process quality assurance with customer product quality and drives compliance to the Plexus Quality Management System and organizational goals. This role partners closely with operations teams in manufacturing, sustaining services and customer management. The Director will focus on quality and delivery targets while minimizing the Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and improving operational efficiency. This is a key indirect leadership role, responsible for leading the Quality Operations Function for multiple Plexus sites within a Geographical Region, Business Unit or Industry Segment.

• Contribute to the development of the Global Quality Operations Strategy and own implementation within the assigned area of responsibility. Quality planning to meet customer demand and supporting Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for product launches and ramp to volume. Include enterprise risk management, dashboards and governance models to drive execution.
• Coach and mentor across the Plexus culture of quality; drive quality maturity and operational excellence assessments, share best practices and foster a continual improvement mindset.
• Drive standard work and process efficiency in APQP, First Article Inspection (FAI), PFMEA and Control Plans. Define quality involvement in shop floor management and lead high-visibility customer escalations with available resources.
• Guide data analysis and problem solving using statistics, customer complaints, investigations and corrective/preventive actions. Apply predictive thinking to connect data points in a dynamic production environment for early detection and action. Enforce standards for traceability, containment and defect disposition.
• Model Plexus Core Values, focus on leadership development, succession planning, and providing development and coaching to team members to realize their potential.

• Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience.
• A combination of education, experience, and time in field will be considered; internal candidates may have distinct requirements tailored to their demonstrated skills and contributions.
