Education Requirements- High school diploma or GED required.
- Candidates pursuing or holding a degree in Science, Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related technical field are strongly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of laboratory practices, scientific methods, data collection, and data analysis.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Experience working in a laboratory, research, quality, testing, or technical environment preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment, machine interfaces, and data analysis tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings and provide project updates.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, multitasking, and analytical skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a laboratory environment.
- Capable of handling laboratory materials, samples, and testing equipment safely.
- Ability to perform repetitive testing procedures and accurately record results.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain compliance with safety protocols and laboratory procedures.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced research environment.
- Perform testing on materials, prototypes, and commercial products
- Conduct physical testing of R&D samples, including tensile testing, microscopy, and other laboratory evaluations
- Collect, record, analyze, and report test data accurately
- Prepare technical summaries, trial reports, status updates, and documentation
- Assist with technical reports, presentations, publications, and research projects
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and cross-functional teams
- Communicate project updates and findings in a professional manner
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure testing procedures are followed
- Support continuous improvement of products, processes, and testing methods
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe laboratory environment
- Meet project deadlines while working independently and within a team setting
