Are you a Marine Industry expert that loves working with boat builders on improving their product and helping them develop increased revenues and customer satisfaction? If you enjoy travel and working with Product, Engineering, Program, Production and Sales Managers this could be the position for you. It is based in the upper Midwest and while travel is required this is not a remote position.
Time not on the road must be spent working with internal production, engineering, finance and other staff to continually improve the business.
Our client is a manufacturer of engineered, quality components for the Marine Industry. This company and their brand is legendary in the Marine Industry. Decades of serving boat builders and dealers in our industry have earned them a top-notch reputation. Growth will come with a quality Technical Sales Representative that is able to communicate and work with clients in a professional manner.

- Direct sales of custom engineered products to both current and potential customers. Opportunities include boat builders, dealers, and marine distributors along with various other potentials outside of the marine industry.
- Develop new sales areas by identifying potential customers, establishing connections, and cultivating business relationships.
- Introduce products and provide technical support for the ever-growing list of items offered.
- Collaborate with engineers in product research, design, and development. Bring the V.O.C. to the PD process.
- Serve as a liaison for new customers and projects from design to delivery, by collaborating with internal team and managing timelines to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
- Research and follow the latest in industry trends, both local and international, and create new opportunities for viable income streams.
- Travel and participation in industry trade shows required.
- Extensive knowledge of the marine industry at the OEM manufacturer, distributor, dealer, and retail levels.
- Must have excellent communication skills and a proven track record of sales growth while developing and maintaining customer relationships.
- Strong mechanical aptitude required, experience regarding marine engine components, internal combustion engine knowledge, propulsion systems and rigging skills a plus.
- Ability to prospect and create opportunities for revenue growth outside of the marine industry.
- Commercial sales experience a plus, government, military, or suppliers who serve these markets.
- Minimum three years’ experience managing a sales territory and moderate computer skills.
