Purpose StatementCreates, manages, and executes the account strategy for a set of assigned customer(s). In this role, the Customer Manager/Global Account Manager will represent the voice of the customer to the customer team and the voice of Plexus to the external customer.
Key Job Accountabilities- Create a working account plan which includes strategies and tactics to increase profitable revenue, account penetration, and engagement points (including manufacturing, engineering and sustaining services). Develop innovative solutions that differentiate the Plexus service offering. Execute plans while engaging the broader Plexus organization and continually improving customer satisfaction and “stickiness.”
- Ensure Plexus meets or exceeds customer expectations by advocating for customer needs within Plexus and representing Plexus interests to the customer. Translate those needs into action that meets or exceeds satisfaction goals and creates mutual benefit for Plexus.
- Increase Plexus’ revenue and profitability by establishing clear financial objectives for customers and partnering with manufacturing and engineering to proactively manage the customer P&L to achieve or exceed those objectives.
- Build and develop multi‑level relationships, including executive level, with customers and internally. Understand the customer business model, competition, market and needs, and partner with other key Plexus functions (e.g., manufacturing and engineering) to advance the relationship.
- Learn and master Plexus's sales enablement methodology.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Able to make sound, logical, and reasonable decisions with minimal guidance.
- Able to apply solution selling knowledge and capabilities.
- Apply financial acumen to influence customers and constituents.
- Basic understanding of electronics manufacturing.
- General office equipment and materials.
Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.
