Shipping and Receiving Lead

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00/HR

Duties:

• Lead daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure the accurate, timely, and efficient movement of materials and finished goods.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments while meeting customer delivery requirements and company quality standards.
• Supervise and support shipping and receiving personnel, providing guidance and prioritizing workloads as needed.
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy, quantity, and condition.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper documentation and transaction processing.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, load, unload, and store materials.
• Coordinate with production, warehouse, purchasing, and customer service teams to ensure smooth product flow.
• Monitor shipping schedules and resolve shipment discrepancies or delays.
• Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records in accordance with company procedures.
• Ensure warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
• Train team members on shipping, receiving, inventory, and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required; advanced education preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• At least 2 years of shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred.
• Forklift experience required; certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping documentation.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workflow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers, inventory systems, and shipping software preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently while leading and supporting a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, twist, push, pull, and move materials throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly.
