Support recruitment and crew coordination for Shambhala Music Festival as a full-time, temporary Human Resources Assistant in Nelson, BC. Work primarily from Baker Street.
This contract runs from February 8 through August 27, 2027, with approximately one month onsite near Salmo each July. You will support Human Resources through recruitment, scheduling, crew communication, volunteer supervision, and administrative coordination. The position helps the department operate smoothly while supporting festival staffing.
Key Responsibilities:- Support sourcing, interviews, offers, contracts, and recruitment administration
- Manage employee schedules using various software
- Supervise HR volunteers and support crew check-ins
- Answer crew emails and general inquiries
- Assist post-show records, reviews, payroll, and deposit processes
- Above-average computer skills and Google Suite experience
- Ability to learn new software quickly
- Strong organization, analysis, and communication skills
- Previous HR, supervisory, hospitality, or customer service experience is advantageous
- Confidential, flexible, detail-oriented approach to work
