Intake and Aftercare Specialist House

Become an Intake and Aftercare Specialist at the Nelson House Medicine Lodge, where you'll take a lead role in the intake and follow-up care for clients seeking recovery support. This full-time position is pivotal in creating a safe environment.

In this position, you will manage screening processes for potential clients and provide ongoing aftercare support to those completing their treatment. Culturally competent care that appreciates Indigenous practices is at the core of your responsibilities, ensuring effective support throughout the recovery process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate intake and orientation for new relatives

• Input data accurately into the AMIS database

• Facilitate information sessions on essential life skills

• Support clients in long-term recovery stages

• Work alongside community services for comprehensive support

Requirements:

• Degree in Social Work or relevant counselling qualification

• Professional interaction skills with clients and staff

• Strong organizational and technical skills

• Ability to manage sensitive information appropriately

• Required background checks and confidentiality oath
