Our client is a large business based near Nelson who are looking for a PQ Management Accountant to join the finance team and produce the month end management reporting pack.

The role offers the candidate a chance to progress with their studies in the accountancy profession, while at the same time getting hands on experience and mentorship for your professional growth. You will gain experience of production of month end management accounts and exposure to the wider business financials that might influence the reporting.

Within this role as PQ Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Monitor the accuracy of the transactional processing and associated month end balance sheet reconciliations.
• Compiling expenditure and overhead reports and working with budget holders and the wider team to manage costs.
• Assist with the stock control and inventory reporting at month end.
• Support with the monthly KPIs and development of commercial understanding in the wider business.
• Accruals/Prepayments.
• Complete bank reconciliations and monitor the cashflow balances daily.
