Duties
  • Conduct vehicle diagnostics using technical literature and testing equipment
  • Perform routine servicing, MOT inspections, and warranty repairs to manufacturer standards
  • Identify vehicle faults accurately and recommend appropriate repairs
  • Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and diagnostics performed
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing clear and professional explanations
  • Upkeep of workshop tools and equipment, ensuring safety and operational standards
  • Participate in manufacturer training to stay updated with technological advances and procedures
Candidate Specification
  • Recognised apprenticeship or relevant equivalent training
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in vehicle service and repair within a dealership environment
  • Valid MOT tester certification
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and testing procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and safety awareness
  • Customer‑focused approach and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to high standards of quality and safety
