TheSchool
We are an 11‑16 United Learning Academy with a roll of 1,050 and in every year group we have waiting lists for places. We believe that it is our job to ensure that education here at Marsden Heights provides our pupils with a silver spoon that life does not give to so many of our pupils.
We also believe that it is our job to ensure that our pupils are happy, safe and well and to this end, we make no apologies for our unwavering commitment to all aspects of safeguarding.
We recognise that the Marsden Heights staff team are our biggest asset. We work hard to provide high‑quality training both whole school and within subject specialisms, and we have a strong commitment to reducing workload to support our staff for their greater wellbeing.
United LearningMarsden Heights joined United Learning lately, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life‑changing education to children and young people across England.
Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our Subject Advisors, our Group‑wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work‑life balance.
We are working hard to become a more diverse organisation – which is key to our commitment to bringing out the best in everyone. We welcome applications from everyone committed to this ethos and would particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic candidates, who are currently under‑represented in the Group as a whole. We always appoint on merit. We are open to discussing flexible working options.
