Literacy Learning CoachWe are an 11‑16 United Learning Academy with a roll of 1,050 and in every year group we have waiting lists for places. We believe that it is our job to ensure that education here at Marsden Heights provides our pupils with a silver spoon that life does not give to so many of our pupils. Key Responsibilities:
Literacy Support:
- Run extra-curricular reading activities for all students.
- Take responsibility for creating and implementing resources which allow students to access and enjoy reading.
- Tutor small group reading and phonics interventions.
- To accompany Academy trips to promote reading and literacy.
Library Management:
- Organise and maintain the library ensuring a positive working atmosphere and that it complies with this requirement.
- Ensure that the library is both accessible and attractive to different groups of students: SEND, EAL students, disadvantaged high attaining students.
