Pendle View is a Generic Primary Special School where we support pupils with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and ambitious Level 1 Teaching Assistant to work at Pendle View Primary School.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in working with children with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities within a special school setting. Our teaching assistants not only support the pupils' educational development but also support development in communication, self‑help skills and physical development skills.
The successful candidate will be class based in one of our 12 classes in school. We have 10 generic classes and 2 classes for pupils with complex autistic spectrum conditions which form our Intensive Support Provision.
We offer a comprehensive training programme as part of your induction, which continues as an ongoing part of the support we provide to all staff.
This position is part time, term time only. The salary quoted is full‑time equivalent; if successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro‑rata basis.
