We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Working under the direction of the Site Supervisor, the Cleaner will ensure that designated areas of the school are cleaned to a high standard in line with agreed quality expectations.

• General cleaning, including end-of‑day/closure cleaning
• Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping floors
• Emptying litter bins and waste disposal
• Dusting and polishing surfaces, fixtures, and fittings
• Cleaning toilets and shower facilities, including replenishing supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls
• Reporting any damage, hazards, or maintenance issues to the Site Supervisor or senior staff
• Notifying when cleaning supplies require replenishment
• Undertaking training in the correct use of cleaning equipment
• Supporting additional cleaning for school events such as open evenings and visits

• Follow all school policies and Health & Safety procedures at all times
• Participate in the school’s appraisal process where appropriate
• Carry out other duties appropriate to the role as directed by the Headteacher or Governing Body

Salary:
Full‑time equivalent. Salary paid on a pro‑rata basis for this part‑time, term‑time only position.

Applicants will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
