Role Description

The Casemaker Operator is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Nelson. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring case making machinery to produce corrugated boxes and related packaging products according to specifications and quality standards. Day‑to‑day tasks include loading materials, adjusting machine settings, performing basic maintenance checks, and ensuring accurate output and minimal waste. The Casemaker Operator will inspect finished products, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with the production team to meet daily targets and delivery deadlines.

The role also involves keeping the work area clean, reporting issues promptly, and supporting continuous improvement in production processes.

Qualifications
  • Experience operating manufacturing or packaging machinery, preferably case makers or similar equipment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform routine machine adjustments and checks.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality control in a fast‑paced production environment.
  • Ability to follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures.
  • Good physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with reliability in attendance and punctuality.
  • Previous experience in corrugated packaging or manufacturing is an advantage but not essential.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt to new processes, and participate in training and skill development.
