Planning & Supply Chain Lead Barnoldswick, Lancashire Permanent, Full-Time

This is a broad, hands-on role sitting at the centre of the business, part planning, part supply chain, part operations, for someone who enjoys variety and wants to make a visible difference to how a site runs. You'll report directly to the Site Manager and work closely with shift managers, production and customers to keep the site running efficiently and on time.

The role sits with one of our key clients, a well-renowned international manufacturing business with an excellent reputation in the market.

What you'll be doing:
  • Producing effective production plans across multiple product lines and managing stock levels against realistic customer requirements
  • Organising and managing the warehouse and roll pack process
  • Leading cycle counts and stock takes, and maintaining accurate, cost-effective control of spare parts and stores
  • Managing procurement of raw materials and approving system orders for stores and spare parts
  • Liaising directly with customers, including export accounts, to provide timely order confirmations and produce all shipping documentation
  • Supporting shift managers and contributing to 6S, continuous improvement and wider production projects
  • Acting as the site's sustainability lead, as well as coordinating UPS and waste collection scheduling
What our client is looking for:
  • 2 years' experience in a planning/ supply chain within a manufacturing environment
  • CIPS qualification desirable but not essential
  • Strong IT skills and confidence working across planning and stock systems
  • A hands-on, organised approach with a genuine drive to deliver for customers and colleagues alike
  • Someone who builds trust easily, adapts well to change, and works collaboratively across departments

This is a rare opportunity to own a genuinely varied role with real scope to influence how the site operates, from the shop floor to the customer relationship. Our client offers a stable, well-established environment within a highly regarded international manufacturing business, with a strong site culture built around collaboration, safety and continuous improvement.
