Work across civil infrastructure projects with trade customers

This is a sales opportunity within the wider infrastructure and trade sector, working with a range of customers across the region. Based in Nelson, the role is focused on building strong customer relationships, understanding customer requirements and providing the right products and solutions to support their projects. You'll be dealing with a mix of trade and commercial customers, managing enquiries, quotes, orders and ongoing requirements.

There is a strong focus on customer service, product knowledge and maintaining relationships, while also identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts.

• Manage sales enquiries from trade and civil customers
• Build relationships with drainlayers, civil contractors and trade customers
• Prepare quotes, process orders and coordinate customer requirements
• Provide product advice and recommend the right solutions
• Manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Progress into an office-based internal sales role as product knowledge develop

• Experience with in civil, plumbing, trade, merchanting or a related industry
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Confident dealing with trade and commercial customers
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• Good technical aptitude with a willingness to learn
• Reliable, proactive and commercially minded
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, customer-focused environment
