The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-established manufacturing client based in Nelson. We are looking for an experienced stock controller to join a fast-paced FMCG environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse and supply chain experience who has worked within a manufacturing environment and has experience using SAP.
Salary - £14.89
Shift Pattern
This role operates on a rotating continental shift pattern:
* Week 1: 5 Day Shifts (6:00am – 6:00pm)
* Week 2: 2 Day Shifts (6:00am – 6:00pm)
* Week 3: 5 Night Shifts (6:00pm – 6:00am)
* Week 4: 2 Night Shifts (6:00pm – 6:00am)
The Role
As a stock controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient movement and storage of raw materials and finished goods while supporting production operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Loading, unloading and storing finished goods, raw materials and packaging.
* Operating material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
* Using SAP and warehouse management systems to accurately process stock movements and transactions.
* Managing stock rotation (FIFO), returns and cycle counts.
* Completing goods receipts and dispatch documentation.
* Supporting traceability exercises, stock audits and inventory accuracy.
* Monitoring warehouse standards and maintaining a clean, organised working environment.
* Reporting any quality, safety or stock issues promptly.
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the warehouse.
* Working closely with production and warehouse teams to meet daily operational targets.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Previous experience using SAP (essential).
* Experience with in a warehouse or supply environment, ideally within FMCG or manufacturing.
* An FLT licence (Reach or Counterbalance preferred).
* Good IT skills and experience using warehouse management systems.
* Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
* A good understanding of stock control and inventory processes.
* The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* A proactive approach with a strong focus on health and safety.
