Position: Payroll Coordinator at Spearhead
Become a vital part of Spearhead's finance team as a Payroll & Accounting Coordinator in Nelson, BC. This full-time role ensures accurate payroll processing and supports key accounting functions.

The Payroll & Accounting Coordinator is responsible for end-to-end payroll management for all employees, ensuring compliance and accuracy in every bi-weekly cycle. You will also assist with accounts receivable tasks, vendor payments, and month-end financial close activities. This role requires an individual who values confidentiality and precision in managing sensitive financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process full-cycle bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time

• Audit timecards for completeness and approval prior to payroll

• Prepare and submit CRA payroll remittances each period

• Calculate and track taxable benefits for T4 reporting

• Assist finance team with month-end close activities

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of payroll and accounting experience

• Certified Canadian Payroll Professional (CPP) designation

• Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Excel

• Strong analytical and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
