Position: Math and Science Teacher Elev8 Program
Become a vital part of the Elev8 - DESK Program as a Math and Science Teacher this summer. Share your expertise with students while teaching online through the D2L/Brightspace platform.

SD8 seeks a 0.5 FTE Math, Science, and Careers teacher for its summer program. Candidates must have teaching experience, especially in senior high courses such as Career Life Connections, Earth Science 11, and Foundations of Math. The role may adjust based on enrollment, and knowledge of various educational platforms is key.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Career Life Connections and Career Life Education

• Deliver lessons in Earth Science and Mathematics

• Utilize D2L/Brightspace for online instruction

• Adapt courses based on enrolment numbers

• Collaborate with staff for course offerings

Requirements:

• Certified with a Professional Teaching Certificate in British Columbia

• Experience teaching Math, Science, and Career courses

• Eligible for certification before the start date

• Commitment to equity hiring for Indigenous applicants

• Ability to engage students in an online format
